Singapore (TVBS News) — Tourism officials from Keelung, New Taipei, Taipei, and Taoyuan traveled to Singapore on July 30 to host a tourism promotion event. They aimed to captivate local audiences with indigenous dances and cuisine from northern Taiwan. The event also marked signing a memorandum of understanding to foster tourism collaboration.

Yang Tsung-min (楊宗珉), director of the New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Department (觀光旅遊局), highlighted the diverse attractions presented at the event. He noted that the showcase allowed Singaporean tourism operators to grasp the unique travel features of northern Taiwan. Through city marketing, representatives from the four cities aimed to attract tourists from Singapore and Malaysia, offering them a deeper understanding of the region's tourism essence.

The tourism promotion event culminated in signing a memorandum of understanding, which promises to boost industry exchanges and strengthen ties with Singaporean tourism operators. This initiative reflects a concerted effort to enhance interaction between tourism industries in Singapore and Taiwan and promote mutual benefits.
