Executive producer Angie Chai (柴智屏) pledged to deliver a distinctly Taiwanese interpretation that diverges from the original Korean drama. The ambitious 14-episode series commands a substantial budget of NT$200 million (around US$6.8 million), showcasing Golden Bell Award-winning (金鐘獎) screenwriter Lin Tzu-ping (林子平) as director. Golden Bell cinematographer Li Ching-ti (李清廸) handles the visual elements while musician Chris Hou (侯志堅) composed the distinctive score.
