TAIPEI (TVBS News)—The Taipei Water Department (臺北自來水事業處) announced Friday (June 27) that the 2025 Taipei Water Festival (台北親水節) will kick off Saturday at the Taipei Water Park (台北自來水園區). Opening day offers free admission. The festival will run through the end of August and promises an array of attractions and activities.
The 2025 Taipei Water Festival will officially launch at 10 a.m. Saturday, featuring a carnival, gourmet food trucks, a market, and interactive booths. A 6.5-meter inflatable water slide shaped like an ice cream and a crab will be available until July 13, adding excitement to the event. Adjacent to the water park, the "Gongguan Multi-Purpose Complex" (公館多目標綜合大樓) is set to complete construction this year and open in 2026. The facility will house the water department's monitoring, information, customer service centers, and an international conference hall.
The Taipei Water Department envisions the new complex as a landmark in Gongguan. It will incorporate the "Taipei Literature Museum" (台北文學館), "Gongguan Sports Center" (公館運動館), "Water Story Museum" (好水故事館), and a water-friendly garden. The department aims to create a vibrant new hub for the community. Residents and visitors can look forward to enjoying the festival's unique offerings and exploring the area's upcoming developments. Completing the complex will mark a significant milestone in enhancing Taipei's cultural and recreational landscape.
