TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Family members of the late Taiwanese star Barbie Hsu (大S), who died from pneumonia complications following the flu, are considering options for a memorial site as of Tuesday (Feb. 25). Her family aims to provide a place where friends and relatives can pay their respects, with possibilities including a columbarium niche or a burial site with a statue of Hsu. Her husband, DJ Koo (具俊曄), is still deliberating on these plans.
Hsu's sister, Dee Hsu (小S), initially planned a tree burial to honor Hsu's environmental values. However, last week, Koo expressed a desire for a dedicated space where he could visit Hsu anytime. Following discussions with the family, they decided to reconsider the burial location to accommodate this wish.
Barbie Hsu passed away at the age of 48 during a trip to Japan for the Lunar New Year. Her burial arrangements have garnered significant attention. According to Apple Daily (壹蘋新聞網), the family is considering two options: a columbarium niche or a burial site with a statue, which would allow family and friends a place for remembrance.
