TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei Metro (臺北捷運公司) launched an etiquette campaign on Thursday (Jan. 23) to curb disruptive behaviors on the Blue (板南線) and Brown (文湖線) Lines. The initiative targets the "Four Major No-Good Behaviors" to enhance passenger etiquette, focusing on backpack handling, orderly queuing, and priority boarding practices.
The campaign, which aims to improve riding manners, will continue until Jan. 24, with plans to conduct activities every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in February during peak hours at Jiangzicui Station (江子翠站) and Zhongxiao Fuxing Station (忠孝復興站) in the morning, and at Ximen Station (西門站) and Zhongshan Junior High School Station (中山國中站) in the afternoon.
Staff members, wearing yellow vests and equipped with signs and loudspeakers, will reinforce the message at these stations. To support this effort, Taipei Metro has increased the frequency of announcements within stations and train carriages.
The company has also consistently promoted etiquette through various channels, including the "Taipei Metro Go" app (台北捷運Go), posters, and gate displays. Collaborating with illustrator Banai Hong (八耐舜子), Taipei Metro has creatively engaged passengers in understanding and adopting proper metro etiquette.
