TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taoyuan Shrine (桃園神社) will host the "Spring Celebration Eighth Day Festival" (春慶八日和祭) through Feb. 2, offering a blend of Japanese traditional culture and festive atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy a rich Japanese New Year experience with markets, Archery and Kyudo performances, shamisen music, and Japanese-style blessings.

On Jan. 29, the shrine introduced limited-edition Snake Year lucky bags, designed to bring fortune and prosperity for the new year. These lucky bags accompanied a ceremony intended to end last year's misfortunes and clear past troubles, welcoming new luck. During the Lunar New Year holiday, the shrine has also released limited-edition archery-themed New Year postcards, becoming a cultural highlight for the holiday.

The shrine offers a variety of New Year amulets, such as lucky cats and Lunar New Year-exclusive fortune mallets, filled with blessings and good luck. These items are set to become essential auspicious goods for the New Year celebration. The festival promises an engaging cultural experience, inviting locals and tourists to partake in the festive traditions and celebrations.
