TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Pop singer A-Lin captivated 11,000 fans at her final A-LINK WITH PASSENGERS concert on Sunday (Jan. 19) at Taipei Arena (台北小巨蛋). She opened the show with a striking silver snow queen ensemble, performing the Amis-language song "Sololen Kako Ina" while suspended six meters above the stage, surrounded by 80 dancers.
A-Lin created a circular walkway around the arena for the first time, allowing close interaction with fans and sharing her dream of becoming a singing and dancing artist from her debut days. She invited her parents on stage to sing A-Mei's (張惠妹) "When I Think Of You" (一想到你呀), expressing heartfelt gratitude for their love and support.
The concert featured surprise performances by Julia Peng (彭佳慧), Maggie Chiang (江美琪), and Ricky Hsiao (蕭煌奇), who delighted the audience with their renditions of 大齡女子 (Darling), Why Aren't You With Me, My Love (親愛的你怎麼不在身邊), and Lost In The Clouds (迷路在雲端), respectively. The series of guest appearances left fans thrilled and engaged throughout the evening.
In a touching tribute to the late Coco Lee (李玟), whose birthday had recently passed, A-Lin led the audience in a heartfelt rendition of Dow Ma Dan (刀馬旦), creating a poignant and emotional moment. Reflecting on her career, A-Lin shared her initial dream of becoming a pop star. She recalls her first recording session with Britney Spears' song "Toxic" and notes the irony that her success came through emotional ballads.
