TAIPEI (TVBS News) — South Korean actor Hyun Bin captivated fans Wednesday (Jan. 15) at Ximending's (西門町) Ambassador Theatres (國賓影城) in Taipei. He visited Taiwan to promote his new film, Harbin (哈爾濱), marking the first stop of the movie's promotional tour across Asia. The film company invested heavily in bringing the star to Taiwan, underscoring the event's significance.
Hyun Bin engaged closely with fans, offering photo opportunities and memorabilia to a lucky few while a large crowd gathered to glimpse the star. Upon seeing the audience, Hyun Bin expressed his delight, stating it had been long since his last visit to Taiwan. He said he is happy to meet everyone with the director and producer and bring this new work.
The actor expressed hopes the film will help viewers understand the struggles of heroic figures and the Korean Independence Army. He remarked that bringing such meaningful work to meet everyone is very memorable for him. The international press conference, hosted by Golden Bell Awards (金鐘獎) winner Sandy Wu (吳姍儒), will take place on Thursday afternoon.
"Harbin" will be released in theaters in Taiwan on Jan. 29. Fans eagerly anticipate the film's release, as Hyun Bin's visit has generated significant buzz. The promotional tour promises to leave a lasting impression, highlighting the film's historical and cultural importance.
