TAIPEI (TVBS News) — INPARADISE Breeze Xinyi Branch (饗饗信義店) reopened Sunday (Jan. 12) after the Taipei City Department of Health (衛生局) approved its resumption of operations. Authorities had ordered the restaurant to close last Tuesday (Jan. 7) due to a suspected food poisoning incident.
The restaurant reported a 98% occupancy rate during afternoon tea and fully booked evening reservations on its reopening day. The establishment also noted full bookings from Lunar New Year's Eve until the second day of the Lunar New Year, with limited availability for afternoon tea on the third day.
During the closure, the restaurant's team underwent educational training, and professional contractors conducted a comprehensive cleaning and internal audit of the premises. The management stated that they are still deliberating a compensation plan regarding the food safety issue and will report to the city government once finalized.
As the restaurant resumes operations, patrons show confidence in the establishment's efforts to ensure safety and quality. The public awaits further announcements on the compensation plan, which could impact future dining experiences.
