TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei's Department of Cultural Affairs (台北市文化局) announced plans on Tuesday (Dec. 31) to conduct an on-site inspection with the Department of Sports (體育局) and Farglory Dome (遠雄巨蛋公司). The inspection aims to evaluate the impact of concerts at Taipei Dome (大巨蛋) on the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park (松山菸廠).

Residents have repeatedly reported vibration issues during the concerts of Taiwanese pop diva A-Mei (張惠妹) at Taipei Dome. The Taipei Cultural Heritage Review Committee (台北市文化資產審議會) found that the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, a historical site, has reportedly suffered damage as a result. On Monday, committee member Chan Chuan (詹添全) noted that cracks in the park intensified during concerts, with walls and floor tiles showing signs of cracking and peeling.

Committee member Liou Tzong-der (劉宗德) criticized the lack of attention to the vibration issue. He stated that only public authority can prevent collective jumping inside the Dome and urged relevant units to avoid similar situations in the future. Meanwhile, the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park reported no observed peeling due to vibrations but will continue to monitor the Dome's effects.
