TAIPEI (TVBS News) — EVA Air (長榮航空) announced on Monday (Dec. 30) a record-breaking seven-month year-end bonus, matching other companies within the group. Employees will see the bonus deposited by Tuesday morning, accompanied by a salary adjustment policy expected to be around 4%, with a formal announcement to follow. Subsidiaries, including ground handling, catering, storage, and aerospace, will follow the same procedure.
In 2023, EVA Air employees received a year-end bonus exceeding market expectations, with all aviation-related business units receiving a seven-month bonus. Due to strong 2023 profits, employees also received an additional two-month performance bonus. With 2024 profits surpassing those of 2023, next year's performance bonuses appear promising.
EVA Air employees anticipate a prosperous 2024, as the company's first three quarters recorded unprecedented profits. The third quarter's net profit reached NT$8.985 billion, with earnings per share at NT$1.66. Cumulative net profit for the first three quarters totaled NT$21.485 billion, with earnings per share at NT$3.98. The year-end bonus, starting at seven months, surpasses last year's six months, and employees can expect a mid-year performance bonus.
