TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taipei Water Park (自來水園區) will host its signature event, "Water Expo Romance: Centennial Symphony - Christmas Concert" (水博奇緣．百年樂章-耶誕音樂會) on Saturday (Dec. 21). This free-entry event coincides with the winter solstice and offers hot drinks and a questionnaire activity with tangyuan giveaways. Attendees can enjoy music and capture memories near the century-old museum.
The Gongguan Christmas Season (公館耶誕季), now in its 14th year, transforms the museum with beautiful lights, creating a festive atmosphere that attracts many visitors. This year, the event will showcase the new "Azalea Drinking Fountain," designed with Taipei's city flower and incorporating green energy, reduced carbon, and sustainability elements.
The Christmas concert will feature performances by Bubble Brother (泡泡哥哥) and Bubble Superman (泡泡超人), along with a magician's show. The grand finale, beginning at 5:30 p.m., will see Prof. Yeh Shu-han (葉樹涵) lead the NTNU Band (臺師大管樂隊) in a "My Love from the Star" (來自星星的你)-themed performance. This will include space and Christmas-related music combined with a ballet performance for a unique cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Starting at 2 p.m., the event will feature over 50 interactive booths, a comma market, and food trucks, offering a diverse and lively experience. Prizes from the Gongguan shopping district and the "Water Drop Sustainability Art Together" painting exhibition's popularity award will be given out, promising an engaging and heartwarming Christmas celebration.
