TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The radiation cooling is causing lower temperatures across Taiwan, leading to chilly mornings and evenings on Monday (Dec. 2), according to the Central Weather Administration (CWA, 中央氣象署). While the day remains mainly sunny to partly cloudy, Hualien and Taitung might experience occasional showers.
Northeast winds will bring moisture later in the afternoon, increasing cloud cover and the chance of scattered rain in windward areas like Keelung. In the early morning, temperatures ranged from 15 to 19 degrees Celsius across Taiwan, with daytime highs of 24°C to 26°C in the eastern regions.
Western Taiwan will see daytime highs between 26°C and 28°C, with significant temperature differences between day and night. The administration advised residents to adjust clothing accordingly when heading out early or returning late.
Penghu will experience temperatures ranging from 20°C to 23°C throughout the day, while Kinmen and Matsu will see temperatures between 16°C and 24°C and 16°C to 20°C, respectively. As Taiwan transitions into cooler weather, residents should stay informed about changing conditions and prepare for varying temperatures.
