TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A job bank survey revealed on Friday (Nov. 29) that 93.4% of employees in Taiwan are considering switching jobs before the Lunar New Year, marking a 12-year high. This figure surpasses last year's 92.8%, indicating a growing trend among the workforce.

Many cite low salaries, lack of company prospects, and stagnant wages as the primary reasons for seeking new opportunities, according to the Yes123 Job Bank.

Among those contemplating a job change, 70.8% have already submitted resumes, and 24.2% have secured interviews. Also, 81.4% of respondents expressed a desire to switch industries, while 68.9% aimed to change positions. On average, workers hope for a salary increase of NT$8,053 with their new jobs.

The survey identified the top five industries attracting job seekers before the Lunar New Year. These include the hospitality and leisure tourism sector, the technology and information industry, financial services and accounting, traditional manufacturing, and wholesale, retail, and trade.
