Many fans lined up at the activity center from 9 a.m., hoping to catch a glimpse of Ma.
The Ma Ying-jeou Foundation (馬英九基金會) invited Ma and the delegation, who arrived in Taiwan on Wednesday for a nine-day visit. They have already visited several cultural and educational sites, including National Chengchi University (政大) and the Taipei Confucius Temple (台北孔廟).
