TAIPEI (TVBS News) — A HIWIN Technologies Corp. (上銀) executive announced plans on Tuesday (Nov. 12) to gradually increase the deployment of AI robots for logistics applications by the end of 2025. HIWIN Chairman Cho Wen-heng (卓文恒) emphasized the company's strategic focus on expanding specialized robot applications. Cho expects the revenue share from robots to rise next year as part of HIWIN's growth strategy.
Cho projected significant growth in semiconductor equipment sales, including wafer robots and rotary tables, as demand remains strong. He anticipates that HIWIN's production capacity will remain fully utilized throughout the following year. The company has already entered the U.S. warehouse logistics industry, integrating AI visual simulation and judgment robots. Small-scale applications are expected by 2025.
According to Cho, HIWIN's visual AI robots have also found a market in Spain, where they assist with grape harvesting. Although HIWIN has not ventured into humanoid robots, it supplies critical components such as reducers, robot joints, and ball screws.
