TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) on Tuesday (Oct. 29) expressed confidence that a recent constitutional court ruling would not exacerbate tensions between the Legislative Yuan (立法院) and the Executive Yuan (行政院).
The court declared parts of the law governing legislative powers unconstitutional, which has stirred dissatisfaction among opposition parties. Cho assured that the Legislative and Executive Yuan relationship would remain stable if all parties adhered to constitutional principles.
He emphasized that the constitutional framework is designed to prevent domestic political instability, and he is confident that the political situation in the country will develop positively and rationally.
Earlier in the day, Cho attended a legislative session to deliver a report on energy and electricity pricing policies. Before the session, he addressed the media, reinforcing his belief in the stability of Taiwan's political climate despite the court's decision.
