TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan Railway (台鐵) announced on Tuesday (Oct. 22) a salary increase for its employees, ranging from NT$1,800 to NT$3,140. The company aims to enhance employee welfare by adjusting the basic monthly salary for entry-level workers to NT$36,140, reflecting an approximate increase of NT$3,140.
Taiwan Railway stated that the current salary structure follows the recruitment guidelines announced on Jan. 23. The company plans to process back pay and overtime compensation from the employee's start date. Also, Taiwan Railway will propose hazard pay, night shift fees, and regional allowances according to procedures, aiming for better employee benefits.
