TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The 59th Golden Bell Awards (金鐘獎) ceremony will captivate audiences Friday (Oct. 18) at 7 p.m. in the Taipei Music Center (台北流行音樂中心), with Olympic gold medalist boxer Lin Yu-ting (林郁婷) serving as one of the award presenters.
Lin will present the Most Popular Variety Show award (最具人氣綜藝節目獎). She admitted she feels "very nervous" about her debut on the Golden Bell stage. Other presenters include the "Stylish Man The Chef" (型男大主廚) culinary show duo Sam Tseng (曾國城) and Kimi Hsia (夏于喬), as well as longtime partners Ken Lin and Nadow (納豆).
The event also promises exciting performances. The opening act features the boy band OZONE and the cheerleading team MONSTER, setting a youthful tone. Following this, singer Henry Hsu (許富凱) will collaborate with Marz23. The third act will see performances by Japan's Avantgardey (日本娃娃頭舞團) and the boy band Energy.
The awards ceremony will air live on SET Metro (三立都會台), SET Drama (三立戲劇台), and PTS (公共電視). International viewers can tune in via SET International (三立國際台), Singapore's Star Hub, Malaysia's Unifi TV, and several new media platforms.
