NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Olympic boxing gold medalist Lin Yu-ting (林郁婷) on Monday (Sept. 23) expressed her joy over a private donation of an EV to her alma mater, New Taipei Municipal Yingge Junior High School (鶯歌國中). This donation aims to enhance the efficiency of the school's sports team preparations.
An anonymous donor, in Lin and Coach Tseng Chiang's (曾自強) name, gifted the school's sports team an electric vehicle worth NT$1 million.
Lin emphasized that giving back to her alma mater has always been her aspiration. She thanked the anonymous donor for providing this opportunity to support the school and inspire future athletes.
Principal Maya Chiang (江明泱) highlighted the significance of the donation, noting that multiple school teams require transportation for competitions. She expressed gratitude to the anonymous donor, saying that donating an EV for the school and installing the charging station really warms their hearts.
