Yi posted on Weibo about her experience by sharing her photos and the invitation letter, praising President Xi Jinping's speech for its profound philosophy, and writing "My dearest motherland, happy birthday."
She reflected on her journey from marrying a man from Northeast China to settling in Shanghai, and her son's return to China after graduation. She expressed gratitude for the country's inclusiveness and diversity.
Yi, who married Chinese actor Qin Hao in 2015, has shifted her career focus to China in recent years. Wearing a white dress, she attended the National Day reception, sparking online discussions after revisiting Xi's speech.
