TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Compal Electronics, Inc. (仁寶) and Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital (新光醫院) formed an AI medical strategic partnership on Wednesday (Aug. 21), marking a significant step in smart healthcare.
Speaking at the ceremony, Shin Kong Hospital President Hou Sheng-mou (侯勝茂) shared that Compal donated a powerful GPU to the hospital. Hou noted that this contribution would enhance medical services' speed, accuracy, and comprehensiveness, significantly boosting diagnostic efficiency.
Despite entering the server market later than some competitors, Compal has achieved significant success with several new products in recent years. Compal President Ray Chen (陳瑞聰) declared the company's ambitious goal to quintuple its AI server revenue within the next three years, aiming to reach NT$100 billion.
Compal reportedly plans to focus more on AI server development, bolstering its R&D efforts in liquid cooling and power-related technology. The company also intends to pursue mergers and partnerships, particularly in AI servers.
Compal has already established strategic partnerships with major firms such as Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), NVIDIA Corporation, and Intel Corporation. The addition of Shin Kong Hospital as a partner promises further advancements in AI applications in healthcare.
