TAIPEI (TVBS News) — NVIDIA (輝達) CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) will likely visit Taiwan this week to attend Intelligent Asia 2024, scheduled at the Nangang Exhibition Center from Aug. 21 to Aug. 24, local media reported.
Analysts expect his presence to ignite a surge in robotics concept stocks.
NVIDIA now considers Taiwan an integral part of its business and maintains close ties with Taiwanese companies and events, especially since its announcement of a supercomputer center in Kaohsiung and plans to establish an R&D center within the next five years.
According to foreign media Wccftech, the automation market is projected to reach US$ 50 trillion, with NVIDIA's team leading the charge.
NVIDIA's foray into robotics, particularly with Project GR00T, stands out as one of their most promising ventures. This general-purpose foundation model for humanoid robots aims to train them to understand and respond to their environment similarly to humans.
Although it remains uncertain whether NVIDIA will make any announcements at the event, Jensen's presence will surely draw significant public attention.
