TAIPEI (TVBS News) — "King of Cats," gymnast Tang Chia-hung (唐嘉鴻), will compete on Monday (Aug. 5) in the men's horizontal bar final at the Olympics Games. Tang aims to secure another medal for Taiwan, having placed second with a score of 19.433 in the qualifiers.
Coach Weng Shih-hang (翁士航) mentioned that Tang would choose a routine with a difficulty level of 6.5 or 6.8 and expressed confidence in Tang's readiness. Besides China's Zhang Boheng (張博恆), who poses a significant challenge, other competitors have lower scores, boosting Taiwan's medal prospects.
Taiwanese track athletes Yang Chun-han (楊俊瀚) and Peng Ming-yang (彭名揚) will take the stage on Tuesday. Yang will compete in the first round of the 200-meter event and, if he doesn't advance, will have a chance in the repechage. Peng, battling injuries, will participate in the men's 400-meter hurdles, emphasizing the need to give his all in the preliminaries to secure further opportunities.
