TAINAN (TVBS News) — A disturbance at the Tainan Transfer Station on Tuesday (June 11) has prompted city officials to vow for enhanced security measures. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-che (黃偉哲) announced plans to increase surveillance and police visibility following an incident where a woman, believed to be emotionally disturbed, attacked passengers. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Immediate Response and Future Measures

The incident, which occurred in the morning, was quickly managed by the bus company and station security following standard operating procedures. The police intervened promptly, detaining the woman and ensuring she received medical attention. The Tainan City Public Transportation Office emphasized the importance of familiarizing all parties involved in station operations with emergency procedures.
