TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Jensen Huang (黃仁勳), the CEO of NVIDIA (輝達), a leading artificial intelligence (AI) chip company, has become the center of attention during his visit to Taiwan, sparking a phenomenon dubbed "Jensanity," Reuters reported on Wednesday (June 5).
His activities, ranging from throwing the first pitch at a baseball game to dining at night markets and private kitchens, have been widely covered by local media, significantly boosting the business of the restaurants he visited.
Huang's presence at the 2024 Taipei COMPUTEX (台北國際電腦展) was met with overwhelming enthusiasm, as he was surrounded by crowds and became the subject of thousands of social media posts.
During the event, he engaged the audience with the question, "Who makes the best graphics cards?" to which the crowd enthusiastically responded, "NVIDIA!"
This interaction highlights NVIDIA's (輝達) critical role in the AI revolution, being the third-largest company in the U.S. by market value.
Huang's popularity, unprecedented even in Silicon Valley (矽谷), has been felt across Taiwan. His visit has not only been a boon for local businesses but has also inspired individuals across various professions.
