TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Artificial intelligence is already being used broadly in our everyday lives, transforming how we see the world.

Featuring the latest tech trends, COMPUTEX 2024's main theme is "Connecting AI," with AI PCs being one of the biggest highlights of this year's event.

ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih envisions the future of AI PCs as a small yet intelligent brain that acts as a personal agent, understanding the user and assisting with their needs.

During his keynote speech at COMPUTEX on Tuesday (June 4), Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger unveiled the Xeon 6 processor and announced the pricing of the Gaudi AI accelerator, which is designed to enhance AI solutions.

He also emphasized the company's 39-year relationship with Taiwan and its commitment to global innovation with its partners.

"We also have great respect for the ecosystem here in Taiwan. That's part of the reason we're here for COMPUTEX," Gelsinger said. "But the world needs a more geographically balanced, resilient supply chain. And I think that's starting to take shape."

Forecasts predict that AI-enabled PCs will account for about 80% of all PCs by 2028. Generative AI is also poised to revolutionize the tech industry.

"This is a new computing age, and this new computing age has some fundamental shifts in how computing is done. One of the ways, of course, that we've spoken about fairly extensively is the importance of generative AI," NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang said.

With AI PCs in the spotlight at COMPUTEX 2024, the tech industry is witnessing a significant transformation in the use of AI in daily life.
