TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The 43rd COMPUTEX Taipei (台北國際電腦展), one of the top three information and communication technology fairs globally, kicked off Tuesday (June 4) in Taipei.

The event, featuring 1,500 tech companies from 36 countries and showcasing 4,500 booths, is centered around the theme "Connecting AI" (「AI串連,共創未來」). This year's focus is on cutting-edge trends, technology launches, business matchmaking, and a startup hub.

Innovation at the Forefront
The InnoVEX exhibition (「InnoVEX新創展區」), a highlight since its inception in 2016, has become the most representative platform for global startups, attracting numerous international startups and ICT professionals this year.

High-profile speakers, including Dr. Lisa Su (蘇姿丰), chairman and CEO of AMD (Advanced Micro Devices), and Cristiano Amon, president and CEO of Qualcomm (高通), shared insights on the latest AI technology trends and future applications.

The opening ceremony saw attendance from listed companies, international representatives, and association delegates.

President Lai Ching-te (賴清德) was also present, emphasizing the development of Taiwan's AI and high-tech startup industries. His cabinet, known as the "AI Cabinet" (active and innovative), is committed to innovating the national economy, he stressed.

Lai also awarded the "Best Choice Award" for technological sustainability, gold, and the annual grand prize at COMPUTEX, highlighting Taiwan's significant position in the global tech battle.

During his visit, Lai showed particular interest in the booths of Intel (英特爾), Micro-Star International (MSI微星科技), Acer (宏碁), and ASUS (華碩電腦), keen on understanding AI-related services and products.

This year's COMPUTEX Taipei not only showcases Taiwan's prowess in technology but also sets the stage for future innovations in the AI sector.
