TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Premier Cho Jung-tai (卓榮泰) visited Hualien on Wednesday (May 22) to inspect the reconstruction efforts following a recent earthquake. During his visit, Cho emphasized the government's commitment to accelerating and strengthening project plan approval to ensure that aid reaches those affected as swiftly as possible.

Premier Cho stated, "The nation is your home, and the government is your support," highlighting the administration's dedication to aiding disaster victims. He underscored the government's rapid response to facilitate the reconstruction process and ensure that subsidies are delivered effectively.
Accelerated Reconstruction Efforts
Cho revealed that the day before his visit, he had presided over the first briefing on the reconstruction plan and had taken on the role of convener for the 0403 recovery work group.
Vice Premier Cheng Li-chiun (鄭麗君) is tasked with overseeing the reconstruction efforts, with the Public Construction Commission taking the lead and the National Development Council responsible for other projects. Cho also mentioned the importance of collaboration between central and local governments to enhance efficiency and speed up the reconstruction and subsidy distribution process.
