TAIPEI (TVBS News) — British soul singer Calum Scott is set to hold his first solo concert at the Taipei Arena on Wednesday (March 27). At a press conference, Scott expressed his excitement about returning to Taiwan, exclaiming, "I love Taiwan."
Scott was selected by British superstar Ed Sheeran to be the opening act for his world tour's Kaohsiung stop in February 2024, which shocked fans and led to calls for a solo concert. Scott, who flew in from Japan, expressed surprise at the enthusiasm of his Taiwanese fans, whom he considers the best in the world.
Scott admitted to feeling nervous about his upcoming performance at the Taipei Arena. His method of relieving stress is eating, and he plans to buy some Taiwanese tea to take home. Scott has been touring with Sheeran for over three months, and he confessed to missing his bed and the laundry routine.
Scott revealed that Taiwan is the final stop on his Asian tour. He will next head to Portugal for a concert, after which he will take a week off. He is looking forward to going home to eat his mother's cooking.
The "Calum Scott Taipei 2024 Concert" will take place at the Taipei Arena at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. A limited number of tickets are still available. Tickets can be purchased at kham.com.tw, Hi-Life stores, and OK Mart stores across Taiwan.
