TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Vice President Lai Ching-te visited Hwa Ya Technology Park in Taoyuan on Tuesday (March 26), holding a roundtable discussion with more than 20 ICT communication industry representatives.
Topics included expanding investment and tax deductions, planning for AI and 6G innovative application technology, improving a low-carbon sustainable development environment, strengthening the green power supply system, and creating a new southward talent information platform.
An industry personnel analyzes that amid the U.S.-China tech war, Taiwan's ICT industry, with its complete supply chain, is one of the keys to the global AI revolution.
While attending a Silicon Valley gathering, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang proposed that "Taiwan is in the center of the new AI revolution" and called on the Taiwanese to tell this story to ensure Taiwan's position globally jointly.
The industry personnel believes that Lai's successive visits to the semiconductor and ICT industries and exchanges of views with enterprises not only echo Huang's call, but also imply a government-private sector cooperation to conduct an early inventory and layout of industry strategies.
