TAIPEI (TVBS News) — HTC captured widespread attention with its latest innovations that push the boundaries for XR (Extended Reality) and spatial computing applications at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. The company's demonstrations at MWC highlighted how the company is harnessing these technologies to transform the worlds of business, leisure, and learning and enhance interpersonal communication and productivity through rich immersive experiences.

One of the highlights of HTC's booth at MWC was a demonstration of the VIVE Focus, the world's first VR (Virtual Reality) headset designed for use in space, which has been adopted by the International Space Agency. This device has become an essential part of astronauts' daily exercise routines on the International Space Station, providing them with a peaceful haven from the cramped and noisy environment aboard the station. For business users back on earth, the company showcased several enhancements to the VIVE XR Elite Business Edition at the event, including a new face gasket, a robust head strap, and security clips for the rear battery.

HTC also exhibited its new VIVE Business+ service, which makes it easier for organizations to manage and synchronize multiple VIVE Focus 3 and VIVE XR Elite devices. VIVE Business+ includes HTC's Location-Based Service Suite (LBSS), which enables real-time communication and collaboration among multiple users from different locations. This technology has already been deployed for applications ranging from entertainment and art exhibitions to education and training, achieving excellent results for multi-user, multi-device, location-based applications with full body tracking support.

The new AI-driven capabilities of the VIVERSE, HTC's virtual platform, were also on display. Including intelligent voice assistants, auto meeting minutes, and real-time translation in eight languages, these smart features enable organizations to enhance communication and collaboration on a global scale, while reducing travel expenses and carbon footprints.

With its demonstrations at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, HTC showcased the great progress it has made in unlocking the potential for XR and spatial computing technologies across domains as diverse as enterprise, education, and even deep space exploration, solidifying its position as a leader in shaping the future of immersive experiences.
