TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's UMA (Kagami) reigned supreme at the Capcom Cup  X "Street Fighter 6" championship held on Feb. 26, marking his first successful endeavor at the prestigious event.

Kagami defeated Hong Kong competitor Chris Wong in the grand final to claim the championship. His potent performance secured a US$1 million prize, equivalent to approximately NT$31.58 million.

 

Kagami entered the top 16 as first place in Group G of the competition. He triumphed over a formidable lineup of international competitors, including Mexico's KUSANAGI, South Korea's Leshar, and Wong of Hong Kong, asserting his dominance and storming into the final rounds.

In a second showdown with Wong, Kagami claimed a convincing three-set victory, securing the championship.

The triumph mirrors the rising success of Taiwan's competitive esports landscape, proving the industry's ability to foster top-notch gamers capable of global success.
