TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taipei City Government announced on Friday (Feb. 2) that they have received proposed standards from the Farglory Group regarding rental fees for the Taipei Dome.
The city's Department of Sports confirmed that based on domestic baseball games, ticket sales and rental costs for the site amounted to NT$525,000, including a 10% ticket sales cut.
For non-ticketed events that are open to the public without charge, as there are no ticket proceeds, venue rent costs rise to NT$1.05 million.
Three months into a trial run, the Taipei Dome has officially established its venue rental pricing standard and submitted this to the Taipei City Government for record.
The rental fee for the Taipei Dome will vary according to different event types and standards, and utilities such as electricity and water are calculated separately.
The variations range amongst international baseball events, non-baseball events, and non-sporting events, with further specifics like concerts or exhibitions also billed uniquely.
Depending on the scale of the event, rental costs are differentiated based on whether the venue's fully opened or not.
The Farglory Group has handed over the proposed fee standards to the city government for evaluation, allowing the city to decide after discussions if there is a necessity to make a public announcement.
