TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwanese pop diva Chang Hui-mei, popularly known as A-mei, is set to perform in London on April 10, according to a statement released by her agent on Wednesday (Jan. 24).
A-mei's concert in the British capital will mark the next chapter of her global tour, "ASMeiR WORLD TOUR." Furthermore, following the recent inauguration of the Taipei Dome, both music enthusiasts and the Taipei city government have expressed their desire for A-mei to hold a personal concert at the venue.
A-mei's agent, Isaac Chen, showed anticipation for the possibility but also emphasized her impending concert in London. Besides the world tour, A-mei is also gearing up to produce a new album for her alter ego "A-Mit" this year, Chen confirmed.
As the diva is known for not making any commercial performances for the Lunar New Year banquets in Taiwan for the last four years, music lovers are eagerly waiting for her first performance of the year which is set to be staged for Wistron Corporation—a tech service company in Taiwan.
The concert slated for Feb. 2, will last for about 45 minutes, further adding to the irresistible appeal of the diva.
