TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins arrived late Thursday (Jan. 18) at the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, causing a warm reception and photogenic frenzy from eager fans.
On Friday (Jan. 19), Cousins is expected to participate in team training and a press conference for his admission into the Taiwan Beer Leopards of the T1 League at the Sheraton Taoyuan Hotel.
He will represent the Leopards for the first time in a match on Jan. 20 against the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, proudly donning the jersey with number 15.
Cousins is expected to face another three matches this month. On Jan. 21, he will take on the New Taipei CTBC DEA, then the Kaohsiung Aquas on the 27th, and a rematch against Tainan TSG GhostHawks is in the lineup for the 28th.
The Taiwan Beer Leopards announced on Dec. 18 last year that Cousins had officially joined. The fans of the Taiwan Beer Leopards harbor high hopes for Cousins' addition and the subsequent matches.
