TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Kaohsiung City Government's Transportation Bureau announced plans to regulate traffic around 10 major tourist spots during the New Year's holiday. These measures will be implemented based on the transportation status on the day.
Anticipating large crowds for the annual New Year's Eve party and fireworks show, the Transportation Bureau released guidelines on Facebook regarding road controls, entry routes, and parking plans. Stricter rules against illegal parking will also be enforced.
The Kaohsiung Metro (KRTC), circular light rail (LRT), and railway system will increase services and operating hours to manage the crowds, according to the Transportation Bureau. Residents are advised to check real-time traffic updates and consider using public transportation.
