TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's Civil Aviation Administration (CAA) announced on Wednesday (Dec. 20) that the second phase of additional flight bookings for the Lunar New Year holiday to off-shore islands will open next Tuesday.
According to the CAA, bookings for regularly scheduled flights and the first wave of extra flights were available from Dec. 5 to 7. For the upcoming Lunar New Year Festival rush, Penghu routes will offer 6,646 seats, and Kinmen routes will provide 4,334 seats.
While the number of additional seats for Matsu was not disclosed, the total number of extra seats reached nearly 11,980.
Travelers booking tickets next Tuesday are reminded to issue their tickets within three days, by next Thursday, to facilitate airline companies in managing reservations and speeding up the aircraft clearing process for planning subsequent extra flights.
The CAA also advised that seats are still available for off-peak dates and times across various routes, encouraging travelers who have yet to secure their bookings to consider these options.
