TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Taiwan's badminton star Tai Tzu-ying secured her fourth BWF World Tour Finals title with a thrilling victory over former world number one Carolina Marin of Spain on Sunday (Dec. 17).
After a remarkable comeback win against South Korea's An Se-young, Tai faced Marin in the finals, where her resilience shone. Despite trailing 11-6 in the first game, Tai made a strong comeback, eventually winning the second and third games to secure the championship.
Tai's victory marked her fourth BWF World Tour Finals crown. This year's tournament offered a record prize money of approximately NT＄79.43 million, an all-time high for the event.
