TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The TVBS Charity Foundation hosted a fundraising dinner on Saturday (Dec. 16), inviting social welfare agencies and disadvantaged households to participate, with the goal of spreading warmth and care throughout the community.
The event is part of a fundraising dinner series, a collaboration between the TVBS Charity Foundation, municipal government teams, churches, and social welfare charities.
Li Mei-chen, Director General of the Social Welfare Department (SW) for New Taipei City Government (NTPC), noted that these events have already assisted over 12,000 disadvantaged families.
New Taipei Acting Mayor Liu Ho-jan emphasized the beauty of Taiwanese society and the contributions every individual makes to the land, whether they are giving or receiving help. "I believe the beauty of Taiwan lies in everyone doing their utmost to make this land better," Liu said.
Through public-private partnerships and the combined efforts of resources, they have helped vulnerable families receive warmth and care in the lead-up to Christmas.
