TAIPEI (TVBS News) — With the presidential election only 30 days away, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) vice-presidential candidate Hsiao Bi-khim reassured voters that the Republic of China (ROC) would endure and be upheld, dispelling concerns of a DPP victory leading to its disappearance.

In an exclusive online interview talk show hosted by Huang Wei-han on Thursday evening (Dec. 14), Hsiao stressed the ROC's constitutional system as the bedrock of Taiwan's democracy.

During the program, Hsiao reaffirmed her respect for the ROC's constitutional structure and pledged to continue championing democratic values and public opinion in Taiwan.

Addressing national identity challenges, she asserted that maintaining the status quo is the most widely accepted stance among the international community and the Taiwanese people.

"The Republic of China will persist, and we will leverage our nation's strength to protect it," Hsiao declared, underscoring this commitment to both the Taiwanese people and the international community.

As the vice-presidential nominee, Hsiao affirmed that her campaign is rooted in the ROC's constitutional system, emphasizing her deep respect for this framework and recognition of Taiwan's democracy and public sentiment.
