TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Lai Ching-te's national campaign headquarters, with campaign manager Pan Men-an and spokesperson Tai Wei-shan, unveiled Tuesday (Dec. 12) their latest campaign commercial during a press conference themed "The World's Taiwan."
Tai highlighted how Taiwan's visibility on the international stage has increased in recent years, capturing global attention and concern. She stressed that the international community's growing confidence in Taiwan has led to a willingness to collaborate further.
The campaign event comes in the wake of Taiwan receiving accolades from notable global institutions. According to The Economist, Taiwan ranks as the top democracy in Asia. Furthermore, the IMD Business School's 2023 World Competitiveness Yearbook placed Taiwan 6th worldwide in terms of competitiveness.
Taiwan's economic standing also garnered praise, currently standing as the 21st largest economy globally and the 18th largest trading nation. Significantly, Taiwan's GDP per capita has surpassed that of South Korea, marking an impressive milestone for the island nation.
The message of the newly released campaign video emphasizes the pivotal choice voters have in continuing Taiwan's advancement towards a more significant global presence by selecting the right leader for its future endeavors.
