TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Former Legislative Yuan Speaker Wang Jin-pyng announced on Thursday (Dec. 7) his commitment to persuading Foxconn founder Terry Gou to join the Kuomintang's (KMT) electoral campaign.
KMT candidate Hou Yu-ih also appointed Wang as the chairman of his nationwide campaign.
Wang expressed confidence in the Hou-Kang ticket, believing it to be a strong combination with a significant potential for political change, aligning with public expectations.
While Wang acknowledged not having recent contact with Gou, whose support is crucial, he assured that preparations are underway, hinting at undisclosed strategic plans.
As Hou advocates for the reinstatement of the Special Investigation Division, Wang emphasized the importance of adherence to legal processes, asserting that the division can fulfill its role when the law is applied correctly and without violations.
