NEW TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The national campaign headquarters for Kuomintang (KMT) presidential candidate Hou Yu-ih, located in New Taipei City's Banqiao District, has postponed its grand opening indefinitely, originally scheduled for the morning of Nov. 23.
Ko Chih-en, a member of Hou's campaign team, stated that the inauguration of the campaign headquarters will be determined based on the progress of the negotiations between the KMT and the Taiwan People's Party (TPP).
The delay reflects ongoing uncertainty within the party, with the future of the party collaboration still unclear, resulting in the campaign's inability to display the candidate’s portraits at the headquarters.
As a result of the postponement, the majority of Hou's campaign staff will continue to work out of the original office located on Xianmin Boulevard.
