TAIPEI (TVBS News) — The Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) announced on Friday (Nov. 10) the addition of an extra northbound train on Sunday night (Nov. 12) to accommodate fans traveling back from the Coldplay concert in Kaohsiung.
The British rock band is scheduled to perform at the Kaohsiung National Stadium on Nov. 11 and 12, which is expected to draw a large number of fans to the city.
To address potential concerns about timely return trips, THSR has scheduled the additional train to depart from Zuoying Station at 10:30 p.m., arriving at Taipei Station at 12:30 a.m. The train will make stops at Tainan, Chiayi, Taichung, Hsinchu, Taoyuan, and Banqiao stations.
Tickets for this special train service will go on sale at 00:00 am on Nov. 11. THSR is advising travelers to be aware of the train's arrival times and to plan their onward journeys accordingly.
Passengers can book their tickets through the T-EX mobile ticketing app, THSR's online booking system, or at convenience stores and train stations. Non-reserved seat tickets will also be available for purchase on the day of travel.
