TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Former NBA star Dwight Howard hinted at a surprise return to Taiwan in a message to fans on Tuesday (Oct. 10).
Howard, known as "Superman" during his NBA years, posted on his Instagram, indicating he might return to Taiwan to participate in basketball events.
Howard uploaded related images and content during his time playing for T1 LEAGUE's Taoyuan Leopards on his Instagram with the caption, "Who said I forgot about my Taiwan fans? We made history together; I will never forget that experience. I will always have love for you all, but right now, I'm on a different mission."
In Chinese, he added, "I will never forget our moments here; I will bring big news and a great surprise. If you miss me, comment 'Come back!'"
Despite rumors of Howard possibly signing with the Golden State Warriors, he has yet to make his NBA comeback.
Additionally, Taiwan's two main basketball leagues, the P.LEAGUE+ (PLG) and the T1 LEAGUE, will begin their new seasons in November. However, neither league has reported Howard's potential participation.
