TAIPEI (TVBS NEWS) — The Chinese Taipei national baseball team, also called Team Taiwan, has a secret weapon in their training arsenal: a state-of-the-art innovative pitching machine.
In preparation for the World Baseball Classic, the team often used the machine to improve their skills.
The creative device, which costs NT$880,000, can be customized to pitch various baseball pitches, including sinkers, sliders, fastballs, and curveballs.
It can even simulate a real pitcher's pitch, providing an unparalleled training experience for the players.
TVBS recently visited the training center and had the opportunity to try out the machine. It proved to be an impressive piece of technology, capable of delivering pitches with pinpoint accuracy.
The innovative pitching machine is not exclusive to the Chinese Taipei team. Twenty-one Major League Baseball (MLB) teams also use it to train their players. The fanciest setups can cost up to NT$1.2 million.
The Chinese Taipei team's use of the machine has been noticed. Other national baseball teams, including those from Japan and the Netherlands, have expressed interest in the technology.
With its ability to provide unparalleled training experiences, it is clear that the smart pitching machine is a game-changer for baseball players at all levels.
