TAIPEI (TVBS News) — TVBS Commentator Wenchi Yu discussed the impact of China's growing worldwide presence with Isaac Stone Fish, author of "America Second" and Professor Chang Kuo-cheng of Taipei Medical University, during her latest TVBS Meeting Room.
Stone Fish examined how China's influence over America's elites is leading to its rise and potentially becoming a threat to the world.

Stone Fish suggested that the U.S. consider all options, including overthrowing the CCP, in its approach toward China.
He emphasized the need for an open, comprehensive debate to determine the best strategy.
According to Chang, "the influence of China is more important than that of other countries. China is Taiwan's biggest trade partner. Taiwan is one of the few world economies with a trade surplus with China."

"China and Hong Kong account for almost 40% of Taiwan's exports. Therefore, many people are lobbying for China in Taiwan because they regard more cooperation with China as their interest," he added.
"The United States is in a very difficult situation, because I do really feel we are getting closer and closer to war with China, not only over Taiwan, but also possibly over Japan, Korea or the Philippines or Vietnam, or India even," Stone Fish said.
"We are right now in a pre-war period, and the U.S. doing things to reduce that likelihood, without jeopardizing its own sovereignty, I think can be the best strategy," he added.

Isaac Stone Fish stressed that overthrowing the CCP was likely the best strategy for the United States and China.
"If the U.S. were able to overthrow the communist party, which I think is a major if, and would potentially have huge costs for America, the reconstruction afterward will be very challenging," explained Stone Fish.
Stone Fish argued that the U.S. needs to have an open debate, with voices from all sides of the spectrum heard, to have the best "China plan" when moving forward, not just the most favored plan, or the one that has the most political or military backing.
