TAIPEI (TVBS News) — Around 100 exhibitors from Taiwan are attending this week's Consumer Electronics Show (2023 CES) in Las Vegas.
The National Science and Technology Council is leading 96 local tech start-ups to the 4-day show.
This year's focus on electric cars, medical technology, the metaverse and AI will shed light on latest Taiwan tech.
This year more than 3,100 tech companies from around the world are showcasing their latest products.
Due to the pandemic, the show was moved online in 2021. And in 2022, it was in person, but reduced to a smaller size.
But this doesn't stop the consumers. According to the Consumer Technology Association, during the pandemic, technology-related retail sales in the U.S. hit a record of US$512 billion in 2021.
However, because of inflation and possible economic recession, the revenue decreased to US$485 billion in 2022.
