NANTOU (TVBS News) — Last weekend, the cold weather froze the water on a mountainside in central Taiwan, creating a winter spectacle called the "Crystal Palace."
This famous sight is located at Wuling, a mountain pass to reach the Hehuanshan.

Sunlight usually doesn't reach these walls, so it is much colder, and water is more likely to freeze, forming icicles and icefalls.
That's why people call it the Crystal Palace.
